Not sure what to say?

Oh my goodness, my wonderful friend from childhood and Albion Class of 1978.

"They say Dave that great friends make the best medicine. Maybe you should have become a doctor.
I will miss you greatly my dear friend, but certainly not as much if I had never known you at all."

Until we meet again.
Tom

I had Mr. Pettit as a teacher for my 7th and 8th grade Bible classes circa 2003-2006. I've always had fond memories of his classes, his stories from his childhood, military days, and family, the wisdom he shared with the class on a daily basis, his pet snake, Lucy, who lived in the back of the classroom, and his way of getting a whole class pumped to play underground church on school retreats. I'm so glad I got to know him and his family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Few have impacted and blessed so many lives as David and Eileen!!!it has been a privilege to have had their influence in our lives ,,,they loved genuinely and are loved in return....earths loss but heaven's gain ...praying for comfort and peace...

Our sincere condolences. David Petit was one of my all time favorite teachers. He made education fun and I always looked forward to his classes to break up the monotony of a school day. Teachers like Dave inspired me to go into the education field and become an elementary school teacher! I enjoyed teaching for 13 years!
Prayers for his family and especially Eileen. You both were a shinning example of a happy marriage also!
Thank you both and Rest in Peace David.

Just this week I was rattling off the amendments the way my sweet 8th grade civics teacher at Pilgrim Academy had taught them to me Amendment 1 4 freedoms begun (RAPS) Amendmet 2 bearing arms is nothing new: Amendment 3: troops in houses should not be...... I'm sure you get the point! We all have had that one teacher that truly taught us! Dave Pettit was one of those teachers for me! And his sweet wife Eileen was my cheerleading coach! So sorry for your loss! May God Bless and keep you and...

You have our deepest sympathies. We pray in your behalf, and we look forward to the day when we will welcome back our loved ones on a Paradise earth. Psm 37:29

What a sweet brother- in- law ! Even driving with him listening to bagpipe music !
A gentle, sweet , kind gentleman . A great Rook Partner ( a card game ) See you in Heaven , where Im sure you got to hear Jesus say WELL DONE , my good and faithful servant !

I'm thankful for all the days the Lord allowed Dave and I to share at FCS. He shouted the Lord's name and love for future generations. I pray for Eileen and Alec and Michael for comfort and strength for the days ahead. Dave left his mark for the Lord, may we honor the Lord as he did every day.

Our sincere condolence to Eileen and family.
In our prayers, but now especially at this time.
Consolation, as we claim the promise, in only that we will see him again in glory.
