Not sure what to say?

My heartfelt condolences go out to the family. This is loss cannot to be replace God bless you all.

It has been a challenging year, David went to be with Jesus almost a year ago, and this last week, one of our mutual friends, Kim Gewerth (Robb) also went to be with Jesus, she died of complications from surgery. Both David and Kim were part of the InterVarsity chapter at the U of A in the early 90's. They both added life and joy to our friendships and fellowship. I'll bet Dave was excited to be joined by Kim. I miss David, we only talked occasionally after college becuase we both moved...

Sweet Jen,
The Lord woke me up in the night last night to pray for your sweet heart. I can not find you, but found this guest book for David and thought it fitting to write a message as I hadn't gotten to express my condolences to you.
Jen you have and will always be one of my favorite people. David is precious to me because he was so precious to you. Though I only met him on your wedding day I know that on that beautiful day the Lord began something so wonderful in both your lives and...

Happy Belated Birthday David. I wish I could have called you to wish you a Happy 40th. I miss you and still can't believe you're gone. I think about you every day, still. I will never forget you or our friendship. God Bless You forever.

mr and mrs phillips, sonia, noel, and jennifer- i was so saddened to hear of the loss of david. his path was wonderful, but much too short. my thoughts and prayers are with you all. we will all miss him.

Dave, It has been a month since you joined the Lord. You have changed so many lives. Thank you for the things you taught me. The memories, rooming on the tubing trip, Guatemala, Ski Trip, and the night of wings and UFC 2 days before you died. Thank you for showing me that God is sovereign. I look forward to the day that I and everyone else will meet you again in heaven and praise the Lord.

I knew Dave in college and was enamored with him. He had such charisma and charm. He had every new gadget known to man which was great because he was nice enough to give the rest of us his "old" stuff which was always really great! I remember many tough conversations with Dave about predestination and free will; I take comfort in knowing that he now knows the truth and doesn't have to debate it any more. I love knowing that his adult life was a continuation of his college life, touching...

Dear Noel, reading these entries is heartbreaking, but it is also uplifting to know that such a pure and cherished person exsisted in this world. While I never met David, the way he has been described here and what Denise has told me about him makes me wish I could have. How proud you must be to know that your brother touched so many peoples' lives and his legacy will live in their hearts forever. The ultimate success in life, in my opinion, is the memory you leave behind. The success David...

I just learned yesterday that David died. It has brought back a ton of memories from college days. We were good friends in college at University of Arizona and in that respect he was (in the way that our college friends always are) an important part of those formative years in my life. We called him “Fashion Phillips” (and I think he was secretly proud of that nickname). Though the nickname expressed something of his flare in matters of appearance, he had refined tastes in lots of other areas...
