Not sure what to say?

Earlier today, before learning of his passing, I was reminded of his advice to think 'again' before posting in an internet forum, which I did, and chose not to post. Such a choice is made with some regularity here, and Dave will be credited with adding to peaceful communications among those he has, and will continue to influence. RIP

I just heard about this and I'm gutted. Dave changed my life. As a young guitarist who wanted to pick up a little classical to go with rock and roll, I went on to study of music for years because of Dave's influence. My family remembers Dave warmly both from our daughter Kerry working at Finder's and from hearing him perform. May he rest in peace.

May he rest in peace

I remember Dave from Finder's, where a couple of my daughters worked years ago, and from his playing, which I heard on several occasions. He was always polite and affable. May he rest In peace.

Impossible to say how far reaching his influence will be, certainly far into the future. I owe a big debt to Dave. I've met very few with the same degree of passion toward intellectual pursuits as did Dave.

My daughter, Adriel, was one of Dave's guitar students a few years ago. She is now an accomplished double bassist, but Mr. Phillips was the one who got her started in music. His passion for the material was evident in every session, and we will always treasure our memories of him.

So sad, another loss of a family member & overall wonderful human being! I will continue to enjoy his music that I have on my MP3 player. Love & best wishes to Ivy & all of my cousins!
