My sympathy and condolences to the entire Piscopo family. The obituary mentions that in 1963 Dave built "a modified race car". To race fans in PA and the East Coast, this wasn't just a race car. This was the Piscopo Auto Body #39, one of the most famous modifieds of all-time. I attended races at the Reading Fairgrounds, and Dave's drivers were Budd Olsen and my all-time favorite, Al Tasnady.
