David Scott Plummer

A wonderfully gifted engineer, but more importantly, a great individual. His legacy is being carried on by his son, Tim.

I grew up with David in Park Ridge Illinois meeting in grade school 1952. During 1955 Dave and I joined The Mel Tierney Drum & Bugle Corps of Park Ridge - we learned military and discipline there. David had a unique sense of humor and a great smile that warmed up any stranger. Everyone liked Dave Plummer and i know later in life his good personality drew people to him - he was destined for success. Anyone who knew Dave now misses him.

A wonderful and sweet gentleman. I loved his smile and laugh. He. Was always a pleasure to work with and he was a true professional.

David had a smile that lit up a room. He was the consummate professional who not only knew his subject matter better than anyone else, but he was able to paint a picture that brought the technical language of traffic engineering to life. He was a wonderful person and I greatly miss his presence.

Deepest condolences to all of David's family and friends. He was the essence of a great professional and a great man, with a deep commitment to the community -- real, thoughtful and human. He worked tirelessly and without any compensation but the appreciation of his colleagues in his commitment to Columbus High School and to the Boys and Girls Clubs. I feel blessed to have had the chance to know him and to work with him.

Tim - Please accept my deepest condolences. Mr. Plummer was a great man who had a positive impact on so many of us. He will always be in our prayers.
