David Michael Polaha

My name is Lou Gruninger and I went to Navy boot camp with Dave. He and I became pretty good friends. You don´t make too many friends in boot camp. After boot camp we didn´t see each other again until after the Navy. Dave actually tracked me down in Jacksonville, Florida. He came to visit for a few days while he was taking a trip across country. We wrote a few times after that, but drifted apart. Then when Facebook became a thing, he tracked me down again and we "talked" once in a while, but...

I really don't know what to say, David was an incredible person....someone who always knew how to make things easier when you were struggling. David was so very special and kind.

Eggs, you were a wonderful person and neighbor. We will cherish our memories of you & LG. Rest in peace our friend.

David was an amazing soul. He gave so much of himself through volunteering at CANDII, which is now called LGBT Life Center, and other HIV/AIDS programs. He will be missed. His advocacy was legendary and ensured people who are living with HIV/AIDS received the services they needed. He was an avid gardener and shared his bounty so graciously. He will be missed.

Sorry for those who knew and loved this very special man. I´m sure God loved him too and has taken him as an Angel.
