Darn-was so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. Only met him a couple of times and shared a note or two. Unfortunately, the times mostly having to do with his beloved brother-my dear friend Buddy, and his gracious Mom Janet's passings...Even so I saw that glint, glimmer, talent and zest simmering in Dave... Rest in sweet peace Dave, and heartfelt condolences to brother Bob and entire family.

Dave taught me motion capture at the BBC. I went over to CA and he showed me the ropes. He was a good egg and ill always remember him for his cap and coolness. Rest in Peace my friend.

Believe it or not Dave attended Northeastern University at one time. Back then I knew him as Q or to be more correct, Cue, as in Poole - . Oddly, but not surprisingly, neither Northeastern nor Q appears in his obit. We both had brief stints as students there and I was fortunate enough to live next door to him freshman year back in 1978 and remain friends with him though the mid-eighties. Whenever I think of Dave I think of him reading a letter his brother Bob sent him when he lived in...

Dave and I got in more trouble than you could shake a stick at---and we had so much fun doing it! In retrospect, we were probably not the best prep school roommates, but he made me laugh like nobody else. Thank God you do get to choose your friends!!! I will miss you, Dr. Q!

David was a middle school and high school classmate. This news saddens me, even as we'd not seen one another for decades. That I remember him fondly nevertheless speaks volumes of him. Brian Hosmer--Tulsa OK

"Dave Poole is Cool"
I know that Dave's in Heaven
In Hell they have no pool(e)
And Hell is much too hot a place
For someone so damn cool
I worked with Dave for a couple years in San Francisco and I found him to be incredibly funny, kind and generous. His sense of humor definitely influenced me and I think there's a bit of him in everything I do.
