Not sure what to say?

Today, I found out that David Potash passed. I am deeply saddened by the news and extend my sincerest condolences to his entire famy.
I was one of the first employees to work for Sandburg Supermart. He along with his family were wonderful employers, great businessmen, who were always eager to help others and provide outstanding service to their customers. The name Supermart said it all. It is an honor to remember not only Dave but his entire family. RIP you will be missed.

I knew Dave Potash for many years, and I shop in his wonderful store as it is in my building, and I am glad it is. He was an exceptional individual and kind to everyone. I just read today about his passing, and I extend my deepest condolences to his family. I feel like I share their loss, and I will miss him very much.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your
time of grief. May your memories bring you
comfort.

I moved to the Gold Coast about 12 years ago and began shopping at Potash. One of the most amazing sights was of Mr. David Potash packaging groceries. He did it so well; I guess years of experience. I didn't know who he was until a few months later and could not believe his commitment to the business and the customers. He could have just sat back and relaxed. But he didn't. He always had a friendly manner and made sure to include the sales flier with the grocery. I just loved seeing him...

As a 12 year old boy, for about a year in 1951, I worked for Herb Potash at the Plee-Zing Food Market at Clark and Schiller. Father Max was the butcher. I stocked shelves, cleaned, and did the deliveries on a bike with a huge basket and small wheel up front. Earned 25 cent an hour, plus about the same in tips. I really appreciated and needed the job. Also worked at relatives store on the 600 block of North Clark for a few days.

Sincere condolences to the Potash family. You've...

So very sorry to hear of a great loss as Dave Potash.I grew up calling him Uncle Dave and my father worked for the family for many, many years. Well all of our family worked at (for) Potash. I will always hold fond memories of him and the whole family for as long as i live. It seems as though the good ones are called home oh so soon for any of us.Although he lived a long and fulfilled life, there was always something he could teach us May he join those who are waiting for him with his place...

So sorry to hear of Dave's passing our thoughts and prayers will include all of the Potash Family, Vic and Joanne Campagni.

On behalf of all of us at The Eli's Cheesecake Company and the Schulman Family, we want to extend our deepest sympathy over the loss of Dave Potash. He was our grocery, our first retail customer and dear friend. He was both a great grocer and a most caring friend.
Sincerely,
