Not sure what to say?

Wendy, Emily and Sam,

Prayers for your loss. It's been over 15 years since I've been in touch with him (and others) since moving away from Muncie. Working (and playing LAN games) with him was a great time. He was an all around great guy who always seemed to stand out from those around him. I learned many of my 'techie' skills from David and probably a thing or two about not taking myself too seriously. My thoughts are with you all.

I had the privilege of working with Dave after I joined the staff in the President's Office in September 2017. Dave was a breath of fresh air every time he came to visit, cracking jokes with us as he worked on our computers, passing time with stories about Star Wars or his kids. It was hard to watch Dave's condition deteriorate as the months passed, but he was stoic about his condition and never used it as an excuse not to be the best at his job. That was such a powerful lesson to me. In his...

I was so sorry to hear about David's passing. Please know that your family is in my heart and prayers.

David will be missed and admired by countless Ball State colleagues. His positive attitude and willingness to always help was wonderful. My deepest condolences to his family.

I will miss you David. Jeff used to say that Dave was the smartest man he knew. He said that there wasn't anything that David couldn't do when it came to computers. David you will be greatly miss by everyone that knew you.

We worked together for over 20 years at Ball State. He was always generous with his time and energy. He enjoyed a good joke, but in telling and hearing one. Dave was one person you never got tired of, because he was so honest and forthright. I will truly miss seeing him again.

Dear Wendy, Emily, and Sam,

So sorry to hear of David's passing. Thinking
back to our college days when we spent so much
time together brings back such good memories.
Will keep all you in my prayers.

David, I'm going to miss that positive attitude you had and the fun we had on shoot nights at the club. You are with the lord now and pain free , I will never forget you.
Sincerely
Rick Hottinger

David has a big impact on me as a child. He was my older cousin. He introduced me to Star Wars, GI JOE, and all sorts of cool things that I'll never forget. We spent many Spring Breaks together at the Sea Horse Ranch in Florida, and probably spent a fortune in the arcade at the Holiday Inn South Atlanta. David was always very kind and patient with me, even though I was much younger, and probably extremely annoying to him. RIP DC and thank you for the impact you had on me.
