Not sure what to say?

Dave was a West Point classmate of mine. That's a strong bond. He will be missed. His family should know that '67 is here for them.

In the brotherhood of Duty, Honor, and Country, there are a few select people you depend on to always be there. Perhaps it’s to seek a few words of counsel when you need them, or to share with them some of the happy family moments that life brings. Maybe it’s just relaxing over a glass of wine and reminiscing about old times, or debating the future of the Nation. Dave was a man whom many people, me included, relied on for moral support and as a sounding board when facing hard decisions. I...

As a beloved member of the West Point Class of 1967 Dave was "unsurpassed" and will remain so. We, his Brothers, will miss him and we thank him and his entire Family for his service to our nation as a Soldier and as a member of his community. His legacy truly lives as evidenced by his wife, his daughter, his 2 sons and his grandchildren.
"Be Thou at Peace", Dave.

When I was young, Uncle David took me on a special boat trip to see dolphins. He cautioned that we might not see any...but we did. He always said he never saw so many dolphins in one day as he did that day with me. Uncle David had a unique way of letting you know how special you were to him. I will miss him greatly.

All my love and sympathy, Abby

Mr. Powers was the most honorable man I've ever met.
Dave's dedication to family and friends is exemplary and his legacy will be honored.

Dearest Peggy and Family,
Doug got to know David through a business building contract in 2007 and immediately noted his acute business ethics and high quality performance. An invite to your beloved "Walk About" to see the "big" ships come in was a special treat! Since then, we've cruised together and become friends. Whenever we got the chance to sit and chat, we always left more aware and informed and interested in the topic at hand. Dave was a really special guy and we will sorely miss...

From Helen, Miles, Edward, Mehgan, and Alexa Riley, we will miss you, cousin.

Peggy, Tom and Family,
May the Lord Bless you and bring you a peace that passes all understanding during this time of greiving. Dave's image will ever be etched in my mind. It was always a pleasure working with him on numerous projects around the area. I will always remember his honesty and our interesting conversations. May the Lord continue to keep a hedge of protection around you. Susan and I will continue to pray for blessings to be poured out in your lives. Dave is now face to face...

Peggy, Tom, Kathy, and John,

Marshall and I send our loving sympathy to you at this time of great loss. David was an honorable man who set a fine standard for all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. May God wrap his loving arms around you and lift you up during this difficult time.
