Dr. Prescott was my professor and research mentor during my time as a student at Bryn Mawr. I worked in his laboratory for three years, focusing on the tumor suppressor gene p53 and investigating whether ovarian cancer patients had mutations in this gene. This was my first research experience and it inspired my career in science for the next 25 years.
