Not sure what to say?

Just in case you have forgotten who I am:-)

Nancy, I just learned of Dave's passing. I wanted to reach out to the two of you and thank you for all the support, love and friendship you extended to me as a MDIV student at Princeton Theological Seminary. I often tell people that Dave was the only and best mentor I had in the Church. I will miss him dearly. I plan to call you soon. I actually quoted you in a journal I published several years about "Forgiveness." My prayers are with you and may God continue to grant you peace, strength and...

One of the most consistent, true friends in my life. He inspired me to think big, plan small. A fine example to many.

Dear Nancy I just learned of Dave's passing. Gail and I send our prayers and condolences. We recall our wedding at which Dave and Art Sundstrom officiated. Dave was a great mentor to me while I served as Student Assistant at Ewing (76-78) when I was at Princeton. Then when I became pastor at West Trenton he became a treasured colleague and friend. I always appreciated his support, wisdom and his preaching. Years ago when I was at GA as a delegate from San Fernando Presbytery in Baltimore in...

Nancy,
I am so sorry for your loss.
Dave was so good to my family over the years in Ewing, especially to my mother. He was there for my father's funeral, and family weddings. It was an additional gift to have him as the interim pastor at Rutgers. Surely this kind, brilliant, thoughtful man is in Heaven.

Dear Nancy,
We were so saddened to hear of the passing of David. While members of the Ewing Presbyterian Church when we lived in Ewing, we experienced such joy & inspiration from David's sermons & spiritual guideness. Hold on to the fond memories you have of David, and let them help you during this time of sadness.

Dear Nancy,
I am so very sorry for your loss. Dave was an amazing man who I am forever blessed to have known, worshipped and prayed with, laughed and cried with, and learned so much from.
Dave taught the new member class when I joined Ewing Pres back in 1993. He became and remained an inspiration to me and my children for years to come. A shining new star is gracing the heavens.
Wishing you the love and comfort of friends and family and a loving God to hold you, now and always.

Nancy,

We are saddened to learn of Dave's death. He and you ranked among our most favorite people because of the warmth and caring you showed for others. Dave's leadership ability and wisdom were in evidence, and appreciated, as he helped Ewing Presbyterian Church grow and become an enjoyable worshipping and welcoming community. We pray God's blessings upon you as you look to the future and hope that the fond memories you and he shared will sustain you in he days ahead.

Love,

In Berlin

Nancy - I'm so glad we had chance to visit in Berlin - was that 2 summers ago? Dave was a deep and complex man who helped me immeasureably. He leaves a void in all of us, you first and foremost. May you find peace, Karl Owens

David opened my eyes to God's grace. He was a great pastor who always went above and beyond the call. A wise man with a great sense of humor who was also brave enough to twice officiate over my marriage. God Bless Him. He is surely in Paradise.
