A Lifelong Honeymoon
David and Kate Pruim were married 28 years ago, and Mrs. Pruim talks about him as if they were newlyweds. "We had an 18- year honeymoon and then our daughter was born and then more joy came into our lives," she said. "We just thought it would go on for another 28 years."

Mr. Pruim, 52, a senior vice president for the Aon Corporation, worked on the 103rd floor of 2 World Trade Center. "He was the kindest, nicest, most gentle 6-foot-4 person there ever was." she said. "He made everyone he came into contact with feel good about himself, from children to adults."

The two were from Michigan, and were introduced by friends, Mrs. Pruim recalled. "I just liked his personality, and he was gorgeous," she said, with a full-throated laugh. They enjoyed being together, even just sitting next to each other, reading. They lived in Montclair, N.J., with their daughter Carrington, who is 10. A memorial service is being planned.

"We're calling it a celebration of his life," Mrs. Pruim said. "And if he walks in in the middle of it, boy, will I be the happiest person there."

Not sure what to say?

Remembering my friend again today. Blessings and love to his family.

Back in 1997 I was a young underwriter beginning in insurance. David helped me understand the business. He quietly approached me because he saw potential in me to become a broker and join AON. I ultimately chose to join AIG, but I always felt I would´ve love to work under David. David touched so many of our lives positively. He is dearly missed and I remember him every September 11.

In Memory
With Honor & Respect.

Remembering Dave today and sending blessings and hugs to his family.

Dear Carrington,
Hey sweetheart. You won't remember us but we do indeed remember you from our years in Montclair and from times up at Bradford together and with Joana. Out twins Diana and Graham are a few years younger than you.

My husband Ron enjoyed playing tennis with your Dad and they often rode in on the train together to NY from Montclair.

There are so many wonderful things about your Dad, Carrington, his warmth and his easy-going personality, and his gentle manner -...

Dear Kate,
A friend of ours in Atlanta where we've lived the last 11 years (as you may know from Joana) let us know of this lovely condolences site.

We have held Dave in our hearts all these years. Ron rode in on the train with him that morning. He was always the warmest and most convivial person, extending his friendship to all.

We've always felt grateful to have known Dave, and think how much you must have carried in all these years since losing him.

Hope all is...

Kate
I was thinking of David this morning and said a prayer for him at church. Hope you and your daughter are well.
Sincerely
Tom Flynn

Rest In Peace, Dave. God bless Kate and Carrington.
