Not sure what to say?

Dave was our 'neighbor' on Pine Lake in Cedar Springs, MI. He threw the best 4th of July parties! My daughters, Kristen and Kamee Smith loved swimming and fishing by his dock. When we moved, Dave helped. He just made you smile. My husband saw him at the store this past summer. They talked of getting together... I wish we had. We will miss him. Russ & Dorreen Crago

I had the pleasure of working with Dave at Wyoming Community Education. He was a wonderful guy--funny, bright, sweet, and yet very determined when he had a vision. He always thought kindly and well of everyone, and always looked out for those less fortunate.

Dave was instrumental in helping with the grants for Applied Marine Technologies that allowed over 800 students to receive training that otherwise would have been neglected in Michigan and in Tennessee. He will be missed. "The Jere Kriegs"

I was fortunate to know Dave through his work with the West Michigan Branch of the ACLU and we kept in contact. He had an unusual combination of experience, insight, common sense, humor, and enthusiasm. I will miss him. My condolences to his family and friends.

From David's California friends:

Dave was a Man. I respected him for his innate fairness and genuine goodness. He had a quiet optimism, a person who seemed to see the stars even in brightest daylight.
