Not sure what to say?

David was my first boyfriend for almost 3 years at Spring Branch High a very long time ago. I just found this notice many years late. I think of him often and happened to look him up. David was a very good, kind, and patient person. We had a lot of fun and he was a real gentleman.

What a tremendous loss the world has suffered. David was one of the most upbeat and fun persons you could ever want to be around. My husband, Tom Kershner, and I went to high school with David and will always hold him in our hearts. We grieve for his family and his many friends. We extend special condolences to his mother, one of the best teachers we ever had. In our family, we lost my sister at age 11 and my brother at age 59 -- somehow it just doesn't seem right to outlive your children....

Sometimes we only miss what we had after it is gone. I knew in my heart there was something wrong and found this notice just today. David was one of the most loving men I ever met. Call it what you will but he was such a great joy in my life. May he have rest and peace.

Dear Cathy,
It meant so much to me when you took the time to write when my sweet Marnie died. I am so sad to have to contact you in the same way. My heart goes out to you and your family. I remember how happy you and David were as newlyweds, what a handsome couple you made, and how much I wanted that kind of relationship for myself some day. I wish your family the strength to make it through this terrible time.
