Clymer Funeral Home Cremations - Palm Coast Obituary

David William Rainey passed away unexpectedly on July 25, 2021. David was born in Redlands, California on June 10, 1969, to Jack and Frances Rainey. David attended school in Yucaipa, CA graduating from Yucaipa High School. He graduated from Schenectady Welding School in Schenectady, NY. He started his career working for Pro Mac Engineering in Corona, CA.

David specialized his welding skills to become a welder and mechanic on steam and gas turbines for Corona Engineering, CA; Quabbins, MA and Siemens, TX.  He was working as a turbine blader for Ethos Energy at the time of his death.  David traveled all over the United States and the world for his work. He was respected by his peers for his excellent skills, work ethic and dedication to getting the job done right.

He was married to Cindy Davis for 21 years and had two sons, Bailey, and Jack.  David was a natural athlete and loved that his sons shared his talent. Both boys have been active in baseball starting with T-ball and continued through the high school varsity baseball program. The family enjoyed traveling with both boys’ teams and had many family trips to Alaska, Cooperstown NY, The White House, and NY City to name just a few.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Davis Rainey, and two sons, Bailey William Rainey and Jack Davis Rainey residing in Palm Coast, Fl; his mother and stepfather, Frances and Ted Archibald of Vero Beach, FL; his sisters, Lisa Rainey Hudec of Yucaipa, CA. and Suzanne Rainey Barshop of Los Angeles, CA and their husbands Dan and Mark; his half-brother Jordan Rainey of Goleta, CA and his wife, Mindy; his stepmother, Susan Rainey of Riverside, CA; 4 nieces and 4 nephews.
