I was on the Flower Mound Park Board since 1993 and got to know Mel. It was an honor to know him. Not only was he competent as Park Director, but folks just liked being around him. Mel was the real "Father of the Flower Mound Trails" (30+ miles)because he had a natural ability to work with the Developers to want to give more to the community. Mel was a true gentleman and I thank God that I got to know him. God bless the Mel Rapp and his family! James Emerich, Flower Mound, Texas

Brenda, David,
What can we say Mel was our friend, and such a great one! Kathy and I have always tried to pattern ourselves after you guys. Your friendship right after we moved to Dallas got us through some difficult times adjusting to the Big City, new jobs and our new life as a married couple. Thank you, Thank you. I will always treasure the lawn mowing and bagging Mel and I did to help make ends meet. Kathy and I still love our pictures of David "BeeBop" Rapp. Our hearts and...

Brenda & family:
We loved Mel - what a wonderful, kind man and friend he has been to the Byrd family since David and Ryan were in middle school. We last visited with him at Brittany's wedding. What a blessing to have known him. We pray for peace and comfort in the coming days for you and David/Stacy. We love you, Frank, Gayle, Ryan & Brittany
