Not sure what to say?

Hard to believe it's been 13 years since David was with us. The stories, the music and just plain conversations we had. Sure do miss you.

I can close my eyes and see David at the Horse Brass Pub singing "Hands Up" and everyone joining in. Thanks for the great times my friend

11 years on and we miss David every day. A one of a kind character that added a laugh or smile with all the stories he had to tell. Love you David

Here we are today, 9 years later. If David was still with us, we would be doing "Hands Up" at the Horse Brass Pub. It is still done in his memory but not this weekend due to the COVID state we are in. I know I will do it on my own and I'm sure others will too. Thank you David for the great times and the music.

It was such a pleasure to have met David. It was thrilling to have been a part of an intimate audience, as well as in the recording studio, to experience his incredible talent. While the world has lost such a wonderful talent, the heavens have gained! Healing thoughts to his family...

It was always a pleasure to hear David's music, stories, and songs.

I was fortunate enough to hear David perform several times. I have one CD--Shorty's Ghost. Wish I had more. David's creative music--songs like Shorty's Ghost--will forever ring in my ears.

David's guitar music caught my ear in the 60's and set the standard. My great fortune, that we would someday become friends, has made me a better man. I will always have his "White Hat" and he will always ride on "Mr. Mars".

David Rea..no one ever came close..story-teller supreme...guitarist's guitrarist...I met David in Montreal in the late 60s at the Yellow Door Coffee House...re-connected a few times in the past few years by phone...RIP old friend..condolences to the family.
