Not sure what to say?

Dear Cindy and Family,
My heart was broken today 10/29/11 when my mom called and told me of Dave's passing when she saw it in the Catholic times. I had just told my mom two weeks ago that I needed to call Dave again to get in touch with him, but as you know things come up dealing with family and grandkids that it just gets away from you cause you think that you have plenty of time. I'm also heart broken that I wasn't there for his funeral for I did not know that he was sick. Dave and I...

To David's family: I'm very sorry for your loss. I prayed long and hard for David's recovery, but since it was not meant to be, I'll continue to pray that he will be at rest in his heavenly home. My prayers are also for all of you as you work through your grief. My memories of David are that he was a good and gentle man.

Cindy, Valerie, and Phil,

I am so sorry I wasn't able to attend the memorial services for Dave yesterday and am also so sorry for your loss. Dave's positive presence was felt at our two big events (which he helped develop years ago) at Slate Run Metro Park over the weekend! We know Dave was a "family man" at home, as he often talked so lovingly of Cindy and the kids. But he also turned the team at Slate Run into a family while he was there as well. We missed having Dave around...

With great sympathy to Cindy and family.

I worked at Slate Run with Dave for several years. After leaving the park, 8 years ago, I would always run into him somewhere, never thinking for once that it would be the last time I would see him. The world will not be the same without that pleasant, always smiling face. I feel honored to have worked with such a wonderful person as Dave. Prayers go out to his family and friends. We will miss you Dave!!!

Cindy, Valerie and Phil,
I cannot tell you all how sorry I am at Dave's passing. The first day I started at Metro Parks, Dave came walking over to me and introduced himself, and I just felt that he was a special guy. Over the next 25 years I found out why. When you spend nearly everyday with someone they become more of a family member, and Dave was absolutely that to me. I will miss him more than I can say. The days spent at work, or golfing were some of the best times of my life. I...

Cindy,
I'm going to remember Dave's excitement when we talked about retirement, his smile when he spoke of his first grandchild, his contentment and peace as he rode on the boat at Buckeye Lake, and the love in his eyes whenever he looked at you. The "band of brothers" is blessed to have Dave's memory always with them!

I,too am familiar with this band Keith speaks of. As Keith's little sister, this boy band was a constant presence around our house. I didn't just have 3 brothers, i had 7 or more at any given time!!! I remember Dave as always smiling and laughing!!! He did not take people or relationships for granted as he made lifetime committments to both. May you find comfort in knowing Dave's peace.

Cindy - I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. You and your children and families are all in my thoughts and prayers. God bless Dave.

My sincere condolences to Valerie, family and friends. Although I did not know Mr Reale, Valerie is a co-worker of mine and she is a great person so, I have no doubts that her father was a wonderful man. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers !!!
