David C. Reyes, 50, of Lorain, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Cleveland Clinic, Avon, following a sudden Illness. He was born June 24, 1963 in Bronx, New York. He came to Lorain in 1991.
He worked as a driver for Greyhound Lines, Inc., for the past six years. Prior to that, he worked for Progressive Processing in Elyria, for many years. David enjoyed watching Ultimate Fighting and boxing, vintage cars and car shows. He was a good father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was a member of the Amalgamated Transit Union National Local 1700 (ATU).
He will be deeply missed by his sons, David Reyes, Jr., Kenny Reyes, Kevin Reyes and Christian Peterson; daughters, Nichole Reyes and Maya C. Leeth; his mother, Bibiana Cruzado of Lorain; grandchildren, Ayonna, Autumn, Kevin, Jr., Raysheen and A'Marrie; brothers, Joshua Cruzado of Lorain; sister, Vivian Reyes of Bronx and Natalie Cruz of Lorain; his fiancée, Maya M. Leeth of Lorain; and many nieces, nephews.
He was preceded in death his father, Benjamin Reyes; and a brother, Benjamin Reyes, Jr.
His family will receive friends Friday, January 24, 2013, from 1 P.M. to 4 PM and 6 P.M. to 9 P.M., at Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal Ebenezer Church, 3660 Globe Ave., Lorain, where Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 25, 2014, at 10 A.M. Pastor William Rios will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
His family suggests memorial contributions to Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal Ebenezer Church, 3660 Globe Ave., Lorain OH 44055.
