Years ago, LA sent him and several others to Chicago to produce the TV show, What About Joan. I worked as a writers' assistant on that show. I don't know if it was that fact that they weren't in LA, but us writers assistants got to hang out with the EPs, show runners, actors, the staff writers after work.
