David Otto Ritzenthaler

I was deeply saddened to learn of David´s passing. We met while in training, practiced medicine together together for 7 years while pioneering vitrectomy surgery. He was the ideal partner, a remarkably skilled surgeon, a superb clinician, and good friend. We enjoyed many years of playing basketball, and working together to establish the new surgical procedure in the hospital operating rooms. I will treasure our friendship and will miss him.
