Not sure what to say?

Thank you so much for all of these wonderful entries. I have enjoyed reading each one. We love hearing the stories about our dad, especially knowing how much he loved stories himself. It means the world to us right now.

Suzie,
I was so sorry to hear about Dave. Words cannot express my sympathy for you and your family and for Dave's. Dave was the most pleasant person I believe I ever had the pleasure of working with during my career. Even when he moved to DED, he still had a hug and a little kiss when he came over to our building. Though I had not seen him very much after I retired, he was always a person in my "good book". I'm so sorry for you. Death is a sad occasion for those of us left behind. ...

To all of Mr. Roach's family and friends,
We are very sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one and our alumnus. Our thoughts and sympathies are certainly with you. On behalf of the students, faculty and staff of the LSU College of Engineering and Dr. W. David Constant, Interim Dean and Dr. Kalliat T. Valsaraj, Interim Department Chair, Chemical Engineering

David was such a gentleman. So kind and thoughtful and unassuming. We liked him very much. So sorry that he has passed on.

I went to school with David through the eighth grade at Doyline and I must say it was a great time in my life. David was a super person whom I have never forgotten. We played a lot of Basketball/Baseball together at Doyline until I moved to Minden after finishing the eighth grade. Coach Carson wanted me to stay and play with David and others for I think we could have won State but it was not to be. We played against each other several times during High School and he was always a true...

Dave, What a kind hearted person you were. When I first looked into doing genealogy research on our family, you were so kind to help, give me pointers, and were always glad to send me the info you had on hand. Your storys about you & my dad's childhood, and growing up in the Chandler family, what a wonderful gift to have. You can not imagine what healing you brought to my life, in my time of need, when I lost my dad. And thanks for all the wonderful family photos you shared with me over this...

My husband, Gene, worked with Dave over 30 years and I met him at several social events for staff. It was always like running into an old friend. The last time I spoke with Dave, he was asking me for information on finding a publisher for a book he was working on. I hope that it got published--I sure hope I can find it and read it. With love from both of us

Dave was so wonderful and funny. We will help you miss him.

Dave and I worked together many years ago in state government. He was always one of my favorite co-workers. His smile, friendliness, and kindness to everyone was impressive. How strange it was, too, that he and Susie were friends with my cousin, Charles "Chuck" Tarver. I never knew when Chuck came to our office if it was to see me or Dave...... Such good memories of a wonderful person who will be missed.
