David Roberts Obituary

Age 70, a retired Foreign Service officer died November 29, 2007 in Scituate, MA after a brief illness. Born and raised in Scituate, he served in the Navy before joining the State Department. His overseas postings included Amman, Ibadan, The Hague, Calcutta, Colombo, Tunis, Kuala Lumpur, Beijing, Bonn, Jakarta, Lima and he retired in 1995 after serving as Director of the Miami Regional Center, Dept of State. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Donna (Clark) Roberts, who accompanied him to all his posts; twin children, Scott C. Roberts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Jennifer Cheh of Barrington, Illinois; two grandchildren, Katherine and Joseph Cheh; two brothers, Ralph Roberts and W. Scott Roberts of Scituate, MA; a sister, Gail Dusseault of Belmont, MA; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering will be held at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd, SCITUATE on Tuesday, December 4th from 4-8 PM, with a memorial service at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in David's name may be made to Friends of the Scituate Animal Shelter, PO Box 823, Scituate, MA 02066
