I recently purchased a Silver Sonnet Parker pen that the owner said was from David's estate, so curiosity got me and I found this site. Your father seems like a wonderful person. I wanted a quality writing instrument, but I obtained a small link to your families history and for that I am grateful. I was just looking for a pen, but I will care for this possible tiny piece of his life with just a little more attention after reading about that life. I am sorry for your loss.

My Dad was a coworker, colleague and friend of Dave's back in the days of the Bessemer & Lake Erie. He spoke admiringly of him often, and I feel as though some of Dave's wisdom was passed on to me through my Dad. If you knew my father, he was not easily impressed, so for him to speak so highly of Dave tells me that he must have been one helluva guy.

I am sorry I never had an opportunity to meet him, and I wish peace to all of his family and friends.

I owe so much to Dave, who brought me into his international manufacturing group when I was 26, nurtured me, gave me all the rope I needed to hang myself, but never let it happen. I was blessed by working for him. My condolences and best wishes to his survivors.

He will be missed. A man of great integrity. I learned a lot from him in business and as a friend.

Dave was A Gentleman with a great sense of humor! Lots of fun and wonderful memories. We were lucky to have been Dave's friends. To Dave Jr., Patty, Tommy, and your families..our sincerest condolences. RIP Dave, thanks for the Memories

Dear Tom, I am sorry to hear of your fathers death. I would be at the visitation today if I were in town. My condolences to Patty and David as well.

"The Man of Steel" will be sorely missed.
