Not sure what to say?

Dave was a great supporter of the Alfa Romeo Club, not always on the same page, but he truely loved the cars and the people. He left a great family and they love the crazy Italian cars. He will be missed, but his ideals and family carries on the tradition. I was lucky to have crossed his path in this life time. Miss ya Dave!

I met Dave at Portland State he was my professor when I took Analytical Chemistry and Electronics for Chemists. He was a great instructor. Through those classes we became friends. He and I had many mutual interests, cars being a big one.He was a very bright, wonderful person. He will be missed by myself and many others.

Our condolences to the entire Roe family

My condolences to the entire Roe family. While not knowing David directly but only through his son Erik, it is evident he was a wonderful man to have instilled the ethics and values shown by Erik.

I got to know Dave chiefly through our shared love of cars, the search for reliable solutions to recurring problems, his many contributions to the local Alfa Romeo Club and his family. It just so happened that I was the son of an Industrial Chemist and so had some exposure to technical jargon and scientific thought. Thus, he didn't dumb things down for me and I was rewarded with learning.

I liked the guy and I like his kids and family. My deepest condolences for their loss. ...

I will miss his great sense of humor. My condolences to family.

Dave and I became friends at Pacific Lutheran in Trygve Svare's Latin class on Caesar's Gallic Wars. Later, we became relatives when we married cousins from Eugene. Still later, renewed our acquaintance in Portland. A good friend.

Condolences to David's family. We always enjoyed his visits back to Oregon Graduate Center long after he had moved to Portland State University.
