Not sure what to say?

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome...

Doc,

I have known Dave Rooney since September, 1977 - first as an honorary Marquette Evans Scholar and always as a friend.

Dave had plenty of reasons to complain - about his health or his golf game - but he never chose to do so. Never condescending - treated everyone as his equal.

There will never be another Dave Rooney.

I knew Dave for over 30 years, having attended college with him. He was an honorary member of the Marquette Evans Scholars beginning in 1972, an intramural football referee beyond parallel, a true and loyal companion, and a legend in his own time. His many friends will miss him greatly.

To the family,
I want you to know that Doc played a very special part in my life and that I'm glad that we met, he was a very generious, kind and considerate person. And I know that he is looking down on all the special people in his life and will watch over them to keep them safe. He will be greatly missed.

Doc, he will be missed greatly. He was a great friend. He was always there for you. It was an honor knowing him. My heart goes out to his family.

Uncle Dave will be missed by a lot of people. He had a great family that stepped up big-time for him when he needed them most. He always had time for the kids, and that is what I will remember him most for.
