David E. Rowe

David and I had a TEN year long distance relationship! I live in Florida. He was so gorgeous with blue eyes, blonde hair, tan, and a great smile. His voice was SO incredible, that I always said that he could have had a great career as a TV announcer. I believe that the only people who knew about our relationship was his brother Jerry and his wife, and his best friend Mark Chambers, whom I met only briefly at the Mackinaw Yacht club years ago. I knew David since 1965 as incoming freshmen at Greenville College. We lived in the same house for two years and were roommates as seniors. One weekend he came to visit my home with another GC basketball player. Dave was 6'6" and wore a size 16EEE shoe. As we visited around the kitchen table, he discovered my youngest sister underneath trying to measure his foot with a yardstick! We all had a good laugh, and Dave as usual was good natured about it. I visited Dave in Michigan a couple times...

I remember Dave from Greenville College. He will be missed.

David was a chrismatic individual. Always smiling and talking about his latest volunteer effort which he was alway involved. He was a giant of a man and will be missed. RIP.
