Not sure what to say?

So sad to read belatedly of David Royle s passing and long struggle with MS. He was a sensitive and nuanced actor with the talent to wholly inhabit his roles with authenticity and intensity.

Was wondering what happened to Weildy watching D & P and was saddened to learn of his illness and death. God Bless and comfort those who love and mourn him.

David Royle was so good as "Wieldy" in Dalziel & Pascoe. I have watched D&P for a long time. May he rest in peace.

So sorry, multiple sclerosis is so cruel,God Bless David x

He was a fine actor. I enjoyed watching him on Dalziel and Pascoe.

Very sad to learn of David´s passing .... I´ve been watching all the episodes of Dalziel and Pascoe and really enjoyed the character development over the show. From the other comments Mr. Royle was an amazing man. May he rest in peace.

Watching Dalziel and Pascoe and have just discovered the very sad news that Mr Royle had passed away. My thoughts and condolences to his family and friends and thank you for letting us share his talent.

I actually thought he played the part very well. He was not treated well by Dalziel. Dalziel at times was not good to anyone.

He brought Wieldy to life and was a firm favourite. So sad that he left us so early.
