David Frazier Russell

I’m very sad to hear about Dave’s passing. My heart goes out to Dawn, John, Matt, Kendall, Katie and his extended family. Dave and I met at a masters meet in Greensboro in 1990. We eventually realized we both lived in Va Beach and became friends. We both swam at Bayside rec center and had many conversations about work, family and of course swimming. We were saddened to hear of Dave’s passing, the world is a sadder place without him. Fran has many fond memories of you two as a sweet and caring couple. We’re sure you will gather strength from your living family.

Brad and I will treasure our memories with David. He was kind, loving and so easy going. He had a way of treating everyone like family. We spent many fun vacations together but our favorite time was at the family cabin. David was so excited to share all the family history of the cabin with us, and the star gazing will never be forgotten. His love for Dawn and his family never went unnoticed. We will miss you.
