Not sure what to say?

To Karen and all of David's friends everywhere.

Somewhere, (probably with Bill Graham) David is planning the production of the remainder of all time for the whole universe. He will be sorely missed. My deepest condolences to all

My heart felt sorrow goes out to Dave's,bride, his family and friends. I am very happy to say that I spent a few years of my life working closely with Dave on different tours from '88-'95.And always was glad to consider him my friend. He is, and will be missed.
May the Lord comfort all who loved him.

David and I were very close friends in high school and beyond. I would have been in the picture that is included in this guest book of the trip to Wausau in 1974, but, unfortunately, I got injured playing in a hockey game the night before the trip and couldn't go. David and I were playing on a co-ed team for our fraternity at Kent State and a young lady from the other team checked me into the dasher wall - HARD!! Later, we learned the ropes of show production together while we tried to build...

One of my greatest friends, Alison Gundry was deeply affected with David's passing. She loved him and misses him, as you all do. Jodie Bullock

To All Who Loved Dave Russell,

I would have liked to experience live, the interaction of Karen and Dave. It makes me proud to even speak to Dave's bride. He met and fell in love. That's incredible! He deserved to be in love, for as much love as he brought to us all!

I can't wait to attend the gathering in September to see more of the people I am party to...we who know and love DBR.

With Greatest Admiration and Love,
Bob

Dave is a great friend and great spirit..
One of my favorite memories of Dave involved my then 3 year old daughter Zoe out on the Cher tour in 99.
Dave trained her to be his assistant so she would earn her keep while out on the road. He taught her to do the 15 ,10 ,and 5 minute calls for the band and dancers. Her other job was to hand out day sheets.
It made her so happy, and it made Dave so happy to involve her and make her smile.
That is a small example of...

DBR, long may you run, my friend.

Someday, I'll see you at the great gig in the sky...

I didn't have a chance to meet Dave, but I saw how his love and friendship affected the life of one of my greatest friends, Alison Gundry. To his wife and family: Missing someone gets easier everyday. Because, even though it is one day further from the last time you saw each other, it is one day closer to the next time you will. Take care. :)

To Karen, Jeff & family, Pam, and Shirley...

Our thoughts are with you. Over time, may your thoughts of sorrow be joined by all those memories of David that bring a smile with them.

He was a best friend, from elementary school through college. No "guest book" would be large enough for my memories of him from then. I’ll always regret drifting apart during our busy-working-adult years. I’ve had very few "old friends" like him.
