Not sure what to say?

David was one of my best friends in high school. I lost touch with him over the years (just found his obit in March 2024) but nevertheless was sad to learn of his passing. We had some fun times and a few teenage escapades in our day. He was definitely one of a kind.

I am saddened to learn (Purdue Alumnus Magazine Summer 2018) of David's passing. I met him while an Undergrad Purdue Engineering student. We both lived at Cary Quadrangle SE: I on 2cnd and David on 3rd floor. He had a reputation as a bit of prankster. I am sure his full head of curly hair fed that reputation to some extent. He also enjoyed a late table game of Risk. A few years later we reconnected (unexpectedly) at Harris Corporation (Melbourne, FL). David was a member of the Harris...

I am so sorry to hear of David's passing. I first met him when I joined Lattice fresh out of college in the early summer of 1984, when Lattice was a fresh, new, and exciting start-up. I remember David very well, and have fond memories of him. Though I only worked at Lattice for about 2 1/2 years, I will always remember David and that exciting time at Lattice in my early career. That was quite a team we had there and David was an integral part of it. I'm glad though to know that he played such...

David was my mentor and later manager at Harris when I was a newly minted engineer fresh out of Purdue. I learned so much from him about dedication, hard work, paying attention to detail, and creative thinking. I also considered him a friend and generous teammate. We had kept in touch on and off over the years, and I was glad to learn that he had found happiness in his personal life as well as his work life. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family.

I did not know David in life but I am on the medical team that tried to save him that morning at good Sam. He came in with no name but I assure you it made us wish and pray that much more for his recovery. I stared silently at his gold band and my thoughts were with his wife who would be waking up a widow unbenounst to her. We have a busy ER and most often medics and fire personnel give report and transfer the patient to our care, as I looked around that early morning I saw every single...

I was an intern at Lattice in the summer of 1988. I met Dave early on in my internship, and was privileged to interact with him many times throughout that summer, which was a formative experience in my engineering career. Dave was an important piece of that for me. Dave was not only an exceptional example of what a hard working engineer and leader should be - he was also an excellent and humorous human being and it was a great privilege to have known him over that summer. On my final day...

I worked with David for a number of years at Lattice and always enjoyed his dry wit. He'll be missed by all that knew him.

As a regular at 24 Hour Fitness, I would see David every morning the last few years at 5:30am. He was very fit and when he went down on the treadmill many of us desperately tried to get his heart started back up. He was not alone at his last moments. In fact several of us at the gym prayed for David and the Lord was there during these prayers. RIP David. I wished I would of known you in this life, we would of had a lot in common.
