David A. Rutzler, 58, of Bangor, PA passed away Sunday, September 29th, at his residence.

David was born in Newark, NJ on April 12, 1966, a son of the late James D. and Dolores A. (Bower) Rutzler.

He was a 1984 graduate of Montville High School in New Jersey and received his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from Steven's Institute in 1988. David was most recently employed as the Information Technology Manager at Flexicon in Bethlehem, PA for over 13 years. David also was a member of the 50th District Freemasons through the Portland Lodge #311. He found great joy in practicing and playing guitar, as well as experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

David is survived by his son, Kevin Rutzler, a sister, Susan A. Rutzler, a brother, James D. Rutzler, Jr., a niece Cristin Gandy, and a nephew James D. Rutzler, III.

A Memorial Service will be held at Noon on Saturday, October 5th at Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Lillian Lane, "Village of Johnsonville" Bangor, PA. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 11 AM to Noon on Saturday, October 5th at the funeral home. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out to the "Save the Music" foundation to support the growth of music education programs across the country.

David was an incredibly intelligent, humorous and diligent person. He is deeply missed by those who were close to him, and the world will truly not be the same without him.

Kevin, we are so sorry for the tremendous loss of your father. You were the apple of his eye and he loved sharing your life updates with us. We have been fortunate to spend time enjoying your dad´s talents, intelligence, conversations, humor, most of it being centered around music and a good meal. What we would give to spend a few more hours with him. He will forever be loved and missed. Gina, Tracy, and Shannon Would
