Not sure what to say?

I met David in the Marines when we were stationed at Quantico, Virginia. We both attended and graduated from the Marine Corps Computer Science School, but followed different paths beyond that. However, we kept in touch for years after that. My wife and I were close friends with Dave and Melanie, In fact, Dave and Melanie were Godparents to my daughter, Luisa. Sadly, we lost touch over the years. I will say, Dave was a positive influence on my life. After all, he was the eternal optimist.

I worked with Dave at Interstate Distributor Company. Dave was always upbeat, positive and made us laugh. He was most definitely a unique people person who was well liked by all of us that worked with him. I was amazed how he handled the tragedy's in his life and his own fight with cancer. I remember him saying "I'm an optimist" and he truly was. We will all miss Dave and his zest for life.

Love you always Davers..... miss you ❤

Wish I had had the opportunity to correspond more with Dave. Recently discovered that We are cousins through his Ryan line and had just begun to discuss his father and grandfather's Naval service. Then there was his service as a Marine that we never had the chance to discuss. Hope to contact his relatives to continue the genealogy of our shared family.

Dave was the ultimate people person. I met him at the University of Portland where we were both accounting majors. We both worked part time at Willamette Western. He loved lots of horseradish on the sandwiches Melanie made for his lunch. My husband, Scott and I would double date with Dave and Melanie. They lived in a funny little A frame house during those college years. Will always remember him as one of the nicest people I ever met. I am so sorry for your loss.
