Not sure what to say?

I remember getting up one morning to go vote before going to dispatch on campus. Walking down the street to the polling location I ran into Dave. After I told him where I was going He said "Mike I've been the first person to vote in the town for the past 10 + years. I'm going to be the first person to vote this year I swear. " We laughed and walked to the pulling location together. Upon the woman opening the front door to vote I smiled and said "after you Dave I insist."

Dave,

I was friends with Dave in high school and we always remember him as a kind and generous friend. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Too young to go!

My condolences and prayers to the whole family.

David was one of the Good Guys in this world. My iguana and I visited his class a couple of years ago. RIP

I watched my son weep at the deep loss of a great man, then most of the room wept, all of those...

Dave at Athens Middle School, 2018

Another photo for those who loved Dave.

I attended the memorial service in Nelsonville today. I am more heartbroken now, but the kind, comforting, and sometimes humorous remembrances by Dave's family and friends, were uplifting. I was a friend for quite a few years, and Dave always brought his reptiles, and one time, Chewy, the Great Horned Owl, to my 7th grade Science classes a Athens Middle School. The world will be a less happy place with him gone. He was, and will continue to be, an inspiration to me. His love for his reptiles...
