Not sure what to say?

I met David Salman in the early-mid 80's while visiting the family ranch with his brother Bill. My memory of David is as a interesting, down to earth, friendly man with a wonderful smile, I was not aware of his history. A great loss to his family and New Mexico. My condolences. David Gibbons(Cambridge, Md.)

Our Prayers and Thoughts are with you. God Bless.

Dear David, Your nickname, "Duke", says it all. You were and have been highly respected and much loved by all who have known you---- beginning in grade school up to the present. There will never be another. Sylvia Hillson Gilon, Las Vegas High School, Class of '54.

David and I became friends in the 5th grade. He was the new guy in town. I have many early memories in and around his house. Horace, who would take us to night movies in the winter in a jeep without a top - walking on top an old fence in his backyard, being blown off by wind into the barbed wire. For that I sill have the scar. David married my pre-first grade play mate Petey. After High School we only connected twice plus a few phone conversations. Many of us remember David, as Duke. ...

David we go back a long ways, even before highschool and I will always remember when you were with the NM state legislature and I was a narcotic agent with the NMSP, working along side with you. It's unfortunite that you had that horrible auto accident. You would have gone a long ways helping NM grow and move forward. You will be missed by all New Mexicans. David you left us to soon. Your friend George Ulibarri, Santa Fe, NM

To all of Duke's friends and family, my prayers are with you as you begin to integrate the loss of David in your lives.

I knew 'Duke' from about the 5th grade on in Las Vegas, New Mexico.

Duke, it's our loss that you are no longer with us. Your presence is so deeply missed. I only saw you that one time after we all graduated in 1954; I was so glad you came to our Las Vegas High School Class reunion in 2006. We miss you, Duke, and are so saddened that you are not...
