DAVID SAPPIN

I was just sitting here thinking about my elementary school days and decided to look up Mr. Sappin, only to be led to his obituary. I want to offer my deepest sympathy to his family. Mr. Sappin was my science teacher at Yeshiva Rambam where my father, Mr. Herman Appel, was the English principal for 40 years. Mr. Sappin was a great teacher, although I always hated science. I really should not say this, but what got me through his class is that little school girl crush on him, sorry...

Great person worked with dave for many years.. A great loss.. We had alot of laughs together

Upon hearing of his passing, I searched online to find the above obituary. My eyes were drawn to other listings. Having just read Dave's reviews on ratemyprofessor.com, I was not surprised to see universally high ratings from students. I remember Dave as a smart, kind and generous man, a great father figure who gave so much.
