Not sure what to say?

Dear Lila and family,
So sorry to learn of the passing of Dave, Jr. I first met you and Dave when I went to work at Horry Electric in 1956. Dave was always such a friendly person and the same each and every time our paths crossed. Joe and I always enjoyed our chats with the two of you at the K&W. I know that he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. May God richly bless and keep you and give you peace during this time of sorrow and always.

We are sorry to hear of Mr. David's passing. We know that he is with the Lord now and we just pray that God's strength will support you and the family during this time.

Mrs. Lila, I am truly sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Dave. You have my sympathy and my condolences goes out to you and your family. When Dave came to the Socastee, he always made me laugh. I will pray that God give you the comfort that you need during this sorrowful time.

MRS. LILA AND FAMILY,
DAVE HAS BEEN A FRIEND FOR ALONG TIME. OUR DEEPEST CONDOLENCES GO OUT TO YOU AND THE FAMILY.

To my co-worker, David, and his entire family we are sorry to hear about your father passing. We hope you all take comfort knowing that he is at peace now with our God almighty.

Mr. Sawyer was one of the finest men my family had the honor of knowing. He was always so gracious, especially about allowing our then teenage boys to use his boat ramp and dock, just about every day in the summers. When he and Mrs. Sawyer moved from Socastee, we lost a wonderful neighbor and friend. We may have lost the everyday contact but not the memories. God bless you all during this time of sorrow and adjustment without your husband and daddy. Ellen & Freddie Young

Dear Mrs. Lila and Family,

We are praying for you during this time of grief. Mr. Sawyer was a precious man. His wit and sense of humor in every situation will forever be missed. No one will be able to fill his shoes. We love each of you, Mark & Debbie Wolfe

Tommy & David and family, Mike & I would like to express our heartfelt sympathies to you all. It is very sad to know that eventually we must live our lives without those that have given us some of our most memorable times. However, we can rejoice in the knowledge that their suffering has ended and they are in a better place rejoicing with those loved ones that have gone on before them. Our world is definitely a little dimmer by the loss of Mr. Dave but God's heaven is brightened by his...

To The Sawyer Family:
We share your sorrow during the loss of a great man, Mr. Sawyer. We have been neighbors for over 16 years and we could not have asked for better neighbors. We remember when I (Robert) was in the hospital shortly after moving on Glass Hill and Mr. Sawyer took it upon himself to come over and cut our grass. Not just once but until I was able to do it myself. He always had a joke to tell you and he was just a ray of sunlight whenever you met him. My wife, Janie, always...
