Not sure what to say?

David was lost to us who all have amazing, life-affirming, and inspiring stories of his efforts in living life as though every moment required an exclamation point. Whether at work, at play, or just taking in his experiences, David taught us all why we are here, and to never take a moment for granted.
The freshness of the pain in remembering the day we lost him shows just how much of a deep and lasting love he shared.
I miss you just as much as I did 15 years ago next month, when your...

Very good memories of Dave as a Classmate of 1965. Sincere sympathy to Gaye and all family.

I am deeply saddened by the death of Dr. Scales. He was a unique individual and an exceptional physician. I worked with him at Orange Park Hospital for 7 years. He will be greatly missed by his colleagues and his friends. My deepest sympathy to the family.

Gaye, I was so saddened to hear of your loss. Although I never knew your husband- it sounds as though you were a perfect match in life . . . .both of you definitely shared a true compassion for helping others. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!

We send our sympathy and prayers to the family in their time of need for strength and peace. May wonderful memories one day replace the sorrow now in your hearts.

Gaye I never knew David but I knew of him through my friend Linda Richards, you and Courtney. I was one of Courtney's Boy Scout Leader a long time ago. I am so sorry for your loss. Our community has lost a wonderful doctor and friend to many people. I am sure there are many people that share your loss as well. Being a doctor he touched many lives in and around Orange Park and Jacksonville. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.

I cannot express how saddened we are at the passing of Dr. Scales. We in the radiology dept. of Orange Park have worked with him for the last 27 years. It is true that we do become somewhat of a family. Our deepest sympathy goes to Mrs. Scales and her sons and to their families. We will greatly miss him.
When I first worked with him he was quite intimidating. But after a while I think we all realized his bark was worse than his bite. He certainly entertained us with his escapades....

To The family of Dr. Scales,
He will truly be missed by many.
Our deepest sympathy in your time of sorrow.
