As a friend of David for many, many years, I recall much of what he taught me. To win, not just play cribbage. How to repair model trains; how to navigate the treacherous waters of the Grand River on the Lady Helen. Last but not least, the proper way to clean, maintain and pack a pipe. Though I only knew David for a short time, he impressed me as a warm, humorous and gentle man. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Our condolences with David's passing. We have good remembrance of his many visits to the Netherlands together with Robert. He was always interested in us and our family.

I will always remember my Uncle Dave. He shared his love of trains with me and always treated me well. I will miss you.
