David Russell Scheffer

I know David from work at Northwestern; we were co-residents at Northwestern and served together in the medical ICU as well as other parts of the hospital. When I learned yesterday that David passed away, I was shocked. I had no idea that David was fighting cancer, namely because he never talked about himself or what he was going through. I am just heartbroken that this happened. At holidays, David would always give me a big hug and say "It was good to see you, Aunt Susie" before he left. I am really going to miss him.
