Not sure what to say?

I count myself blessed to have known David early in my life, and again, this past year. His was a gentle and wise soul, and the love he beamed out to us this past year was breathtaking. I look with great hope to the day when we will be together again.

I cannot think of a single encounter with Dave where he was not wearing a smile. He truly lived "in the moment" - and that is part of the legacy he leaves to us, that we should do likewise. He is a true champion. Safe landing, Dave. Shine your light!

One of the dearest, sweetest, most unassuming & authentic people I have ever been lucky enough to know. Always warm, always accepting; a quiet & deep gift to the planet. Sweet dreams, brother-in-law.

I met Dave when we were both oh so young [we just didn't know it] and then again when he was feeling ill. We missed a lot of time in between, but it didn't seem to matter, we just picked up where we left off. Being with Dave was always the best of times. Knowing him was a blessed thing. RIP, Mr. Gypsy.

Dave was one of the nicest people to be around in high school. He had a great musical talent and a kind way with all. He hopefully will know how much is/was loved and missed by all of us who grew up with him in Hamlet. God bless and may your sorrow pass quickly to his family.

Dave was part of my extended family and we shared many good times as kids. Unfortunately, we lost touch after high school.

I've been reading his blog and his spirit shines through – same ol' Dave!

Too soon gone, but he won't be forgotten.

My highest praise goes to Dave, "He was a good guy."

Isn't/wouldn't Dave be smiling now at all the love being circulated around him and shared among all those who love him. What a happy reality. Betsy and Roland, my deepest condolences to you and the rest of your family. Smooth sailing.

My sincerest condolences. David was a blessing to this world, to all who came in contact with him, and especially to me. I'll always have very fond memories of our youth together.
