I just found out today, July 27th, about the most incredible man ever, had passed away at such a young age.
I first met David when he was fresh out of college and was interested in buying Dr. Jack Smiter's Orthodontist practice in Walnut Creek, I was Jack's dental assistant. What an impression he made on me that day, what a nice man.
Both, my daughter's Kimberly and Sharon had their ortho work done by David and have beautiful teeth to show for it. It didn't stop there. In...

We just received a letter about Mr. Schleimers passing. My daughter Samia had her phase one done by David and they were taken off in May 2013. I so enjoyed the brief exchange I would have with him during her appointments. He was warm and funny and such an aesthete. I connected with him right away as did my daughter. He reminded me of my brother that lives in the midwest and being there and hearing his voice would be like being with family. I am feeling so sad for his family and close...

Dr. Schleimer was like a drop of sun ray to his patients - kind, warm, and pleasant. He had touched his patients deep in their hearts. He shall be remembered by many people. RIP.

I just heard the news today when phoning to make an appointment for my orthodontic check. I cannotl believe this has happened to such a nice and funny man, who always had a story to tell, was always so interested in people and what they were up to etc. As an adult patient, just slightly older than he was ,he always made me comfortable and was always helpful. He Lovett lacking about his family and was so proud of his children! I wish to tell them that I know they were they world to him, and...

When my husband called me today to share the unfortunate news of David's death I was (and am still) David was a very unpretentious ("call me David" vs. Dr. Schleimer) Orthodontist. During the numerous office visits that took place over the years for my family's orthodontia needs, David was always very personable, patient, and provided excellent care (his work saved me from having a second jaw surgery!). Dr. Schleimer was a bright light on this Earth and will be missed tremendously. My family...

I was an adult patient of Dr. Schleimer's. He not only did a great job with my orthodontia, but he also had such a delightful personality. He was an interesting person, and he was always interested in others.
My sincere sympathy to his wife, daughters, and others who were close to him.

My experiences with Dr. Schleimer are very similar to Mr. Boswell's, whose entry was before mine. David was one of the few medical professionals I've known who didn't create that invisible shield that you usually find between doctor and patient. Parents like me were welcomed into the office--all parts of the office--and encouraged to ask questions about his treatment and techniques at any time. David was a funny, creative guy, and a terrific orthodontist. His passing is a huge loss to the...
