Not sure what to say?

Maj. Schorr, as I affectionately and appropriately knew him as my Math "P" at school, gave me hope that I could make it academically and mentally through the Academy. I share this story to this day with those whom God has given me the opportunity to influence.

I had the privilege of having COl Schorr, then MAJ Schorr as my math professor my Plebe year in 1970. Back then we fondly refereed to him as Santa Clause Schorr because he was an easy grader. I came to learn that it wasn´t so much that he was an easy grader and more how he believed in us and encouraged us to do our best. He is one of the main reasons I graduated from West Point. I admired him as an officer and followed him into the Infantry also reaching the rank of Colonel. COL Schorr has my...

I recall fondly and with great respect, then Major Schorr (later LTC), my "Green Death" P, in 1970 at West Point. Not only was he an extraordinary educator, he was an understanding and patient gentleman. He was truly a miracle worker as, under his tutelage, I squeaked by math. Also modest, as he only wore a CIB, not all of his valorous decorations. RIP Sir. Michael J. Bonelli , ex USMA D2´74

I just learned this sad news today, and I am so very sorry. Dave was one of my dad, Jack´s, favorite people at and beyond Lawrenceville. Dad and his beloved teddy bear, Biff, attended many Army-Navy games with Dave and his crew. When my dad died three years ago, one of the first calls I made was to Dave, and he was so kind, sharing stories and wonderful memories with me. We enjoyed emailing each other for a while and I was grateful for that connection to my dad. Patty, I am so sorry for the...

Our heartfelt condolences to Patty and Family. Our Family was blessed to have known Colonel Schorr as a Family friend, a teacher at Lawrenceville, a mentor and a great friend to Stuart Country Day School. We will hold him in our heart forever. Rest in Peace Colonel Schoor. Love to Patty. Debra, Justin & Kristen Massimo Peterson

To Mrs. Schorr and all of The Colonel´s troops please accept my sincere condolences on his passing. It was my distinct honor and privilege to meet him in 1973 at Fort Ord, California. At that time Lieutenant Colonel Schorr was assigned as the new 1st Battalion Commander. I was the company clerk for HQ Co. 1st Bn 4th Bde. I worked for him for 18 months. While the previous Battalion Commander had been rather formal in his day to day duties (no disrespect to him), Colonel Schorr was much...

I was incredibly sad to hear of Colonel Schorr's passing. I have countless happy memories of him in Hamill House and especially on the house football field. It was unmistakably clear that he cared deeply for his charges and that he wanted to see us succeed. I'll never forget him teaching us how to form tackle, calling plays during our games, and keeping up with us after graduation (he signed all of his notes to me with "GO BLUE!" or "DRIVE ON!"). Sending heartfelt condolences to the Schorr...
