Dave Smallwood was bigger than life. He was always ready for fun and enjoyed a party. He loved political discussions, reminiscing about the past, family dinners, carrying on about sports. But he was also the kindest person I've known. I will really miss my Uncle Dave, who was one of the kindest people you'd ever meet. I miss our countless Sunday family dinners where he could hold forth on topics as interesting as the value of misstruck coins from the US Mint, the UN chemical weapons security inspection process, and the Phillies bullpen -- all of which he was expert in.
