Not sure what to say?

I was looking hoping Dr Service might be back to work. Instead I discovered he has passed. I was with from the start of his practice. Sorry to find out he is gone

I knew Dr. Service as “Tony”. Tony and I met one day when I owned a car detailing business. I will never forget asking him so many questions about his career and his success. Tony would always bring me diet Sprite to drink when polishing on cars on a warm day. I came across this memorial today and wanted to express my condolences.

Tony was our family dentist almost from the beginning of those 40-plus years he practiced. In addition to being an excellent dentist, his calm and friendly manner always put us at ease and we knew we were going to be well taken care of. I also personally remember him as a wonderful friend, mentor, and running partner through training for several marathons. I smiled when I read the comment about going without Novocaine. He taught me the same thing (for a small filling)--not only that it...

I was so sorry to hear that Dr. Service had passed away. My condolences to his family. He was a warm and gracious person, and such a wonderful dentist that I remained his patient for 30 years. He will be missed.

We are so saddened to learn of the passing of one of the most kind, caring and gentle men we have ever known -- Dr. Tony Service. To our family, he was Tony, but that familiarity was not a lack of respect for his wonderful skills as a dentist, but rather that he was also a dear friend.
Tony always greeted us with a smile and inquired about our children, or a trip we had told him we planned to take, or some event in our life. He had an amazing ability to remember what our children had...

Dr. Service was one of the nicest peope I have ever met and I had total trust in his expertise when he cared for my teeth. He was truly a brilliant dentist and a "Prince" among men.

I am sorry to hear of Dr. Service's passing and I send my condolences to Sheila, whom i enjoyed visiting with when ever she came in the office as well as Hilary's visits. I really enjoyed working for Dr. Service, he was the best dentist and boss anyone could have had. He will be missed.

We were very sorry to read that you have lost your husband and father. Dr. Service was our family dentist from the mid-1970s. He was such a caring, gentle man. We missed him when he retired, but wished him a long active retirement. We are so sorry it was so short.

When I moved my family to the Grant Park Area in 1966, we needed a Family
Dentist. Dr. Service opened his practice on 33rd, three blocks away. He was our Dentist till he retired. He was not only our Dentist but a friend.
