David M. Shaffer

David Shaffer was a good friend, a fellow musician and my neighbor.

He was a great player and a superb and caring music educator. Music was his living, but David never forgot about the art of what he did. He always gave his heart, soul and sweat to make the best music he could.

I am very grateful for having known and been influenced by David. I will always be grateful for the things he taught me.

My greatest sympathies to his family for their loss.

I enjoyed working with David during his short run with Jump Jones. His talent for composition, arrangements, as well as his performance helped to lift the group to a ligher level of musicianship. His work for the group is an invaluable gift that will leave a long-lasting effect.
