Not sure what to say?

So very saddened to hear of David's passing just last evening at our Union (NJ) High School 40th reunion. David was a graduate of the class of 1976 and a classmate of mine since grammer school at Washington School in Union, NJ. We were in 5th grade together. Always a nice person. May he rest in peace. My condolences to his loved ones.

Wendy:

David and I shared a profession and a love of driving fast. Thanks so much for our discussion yesterday. And whenever I exit the Kink at Road America I'll give David a 'point by' because he was way faster and smarter about so many things.

So sorry to hear of David's passing. He was a good friend. I'd known Dave from his days at LaSalle.

David was one of my all time favorite people and dearest friends. I will miss him tremendously. Since meeting at ABN Amro 20 years ago, we became fast friends. He was perceptive, witty, articulate, and extremely intelligent. He knew what you were thinking before you did, but he would not let on (which I appreciated). David was also the best listener I have ever known.

When called upon, David would enthusiastically provide insightful advice on numerous subjects including finance,...

Wendy and family.... I, too, knew David since Washington School thru Union High. I am so sad to say we have lost a few friends in the past few months way, way too soon. I hope all of your happy memories get you through these tough times.

Wendy, I just heard this tragic news. For 15 years I've known David as a skilled banker, a brilliant thinker, and a trusted friend. I have no words to express the void his passing will leave. My heart goes out to you, and I will pray for you and the family. Jay

So shocked to hear of David's extremely untimely passing. He was a terrific guy and I know terribly missed by his friends and family. My condolences to Wendy, Barb, Luc, Julian, Sophie and the rest of the Shapiro family.

I was shocked to hear about David. I worked with him for >15 years and always found him to be very sharp and humorous. I will miss him. Sympathies to the family.

David was on my "Board of Directors", a seat that no other person can fill. He was a mentor, friend, confidant, political ally, and fellow gearhead. He taught me eloquence, thoughtfulness, life priorities and the love of hot wings with MGD. He left this world a far better place by those he touched and cared about deeply.
