Salt Lake City, UT- David didn't want an obituary with a lengthy list of accolades and life achievements or a long, sad funeral. However, he didn't say that he would mind a notice of his death in the newspaper. So, on that technicality, it should be said that he was loyal, kind, and funny. He...

Not sure what to say?

Janet we are so sorry for the loss of your Dave. You were always so lovely to us and Sharon especially loved you dearly! Happy trails David Sharp! Tara

Dave was one of my Dad's, Jerry Trapp, best friend and golf buddies. He helped spread his ashes at a favorite hole at Mountain Dell. My husband, Frank, and I enjoyed many Sundays golfing with them. Dave was the king of finding golf balls, and I'd come home with seemingly dozens. He was a great man and will be missed. Our condolences to Janet and family, Lise Trapp Herriott

David taught me to fish and play guitar. I have advanced on both. He was the best bro he could be and I hope to be a good of an example and support as he was for all!!!

David and I were cousins and I remember the fun we had working together at Cathay House ,chinese restrauant , on 2nd South in SLC along with Vic Hamilton, through our High school years at South High. I am sorry that we didn't connect after we both went our separate ways after High School.

On to the next 18.

We feel very fortunate to have known and shared a long lasting friendship with Dave and will cherish the memories. He will certainly be missed. Janet, please let us know if we can help you in any way through this tough time. Love you, Brent and Sydney.

I will always remember working in the daycare below his office. He´d peek in and say hi every day, bring me sandwiches, and movie memorabilia for the kids to play with. Love you uncle David!
