Today, I was honored to run In honor of Private First Class David H. Sharrett II, as part of the Wear Blue: Run to Remember Memorial Day tribute. I have read the story of his death, the true story, and I am grateful for his service and sacrifice. I hope his family takes comfort in knowing that he has not been forgotten. May he Rest In Peace. Paul E, Port Orange, Florida.

We will never forget, David was a bright light and touched many, our warmest thoughts and prayers are with you as we remember him and how you fought for the truth in his honor.

Hello,

We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Sharrett Family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and hometown of David H. Sharrett II US Army Private 1st Class.

We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by...

I have thought of you often over the past 9 years. I have a son, who also bears my name, that will be getting married this summer. I will pray, again, for David II on that day, in hopes that his strength will live on in my son and the family he has the opportunity to create. Being in the military myself for over 20 years, please believe me, David II IS NOT FORGOTTEN.
Sincerely,
AL (Albin) Hovde (we attended high school at Langley together and graduated the same year...you...

Miss your wise cracks Dave.... does not seem like it's been 4 years.

To the family and friends of Pfc. David H. Sharrett:
It has truly been my honor to sign David's guest book these past few years. Unfortunately, due to complications from my Multiple Sclerosis, this may be the last message I'm able to write. Please forgive me and know that David will always be remembered in my home.
With love and respect ~ Peggy
